Ordinal 4540 Not Found SH 1.0.0b2

Ordinal 4540 Not Found SH 1.0.0b2
I've been having nothing but problems with Sleepyhead lately.

I've posted before about my problems and no-one has been able to help

So I decided to try to uninstall it and now I'm getting the error:

Code:
The ordinal 4540 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:Program Files\Intel\iCLS\ssleay32.dll

Any help would greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Brian

The mentioned DLL file does not match what the Sleepyhead software was designed for.

RE: Ordinal 4540 Not Found SH 1.0.0b2
I concur with eplantz and have just removed the same .dll from my system in the directory you mention and Sleepyhead runs fine without that .dll loaded.

What the error message means is that some executable cannot find a requested function within the dynamic link library (.dll).

Since the error message is located in the Intel subdirectory, and appears to be in the iCLS subdirectory referring to the " Intel Capability Licensing Service"  and is part of the OpenSSL (Open Secure Sockets Layer) security subsystem ... I would suspect it is may be a system problem rather than a Sleepyhead problem. Possibly the system loading the wrong .dll into memory before you invoke Sleepyhead. Does it happen with any other programs?

I would suggest running a virus checker first to ensure that the dll has not been hijacked with malware since it is part of the secure sockets layer (ssl) security system.

One of the reasons I am suspicious of Sleepyhead as the culprit is that Sleepyhead has a number of dlls in its own subdirectory and a programmer would not normally rely on a program that may not be installed on every computer.

On a whim, I opened my command prompt with administrator privileges and ran the command "dir ssleay32.dll /s" without the quotes and it returned 15 applications which use the same dll -- but different versions.-- but all are located in their vendor's subdirectories. Therefore, I suspect a program is autoloading the wrong dll before you even get to Sleeppyhead.
