Oscar - Lost Data Sessions

Oscar - Lost Data Sessions
Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I'm using a ResMed AS10. I've lost several sessions of Oscar data on the SD card.  I usually pop the card out and transfer it to my computer every couple of days.  The first time this happened, I noticed that there was no data in the dated folder for that day under the DATALOG folder. I chalked this up to using a 128Mb 128Gb card. Changed to a 32Mb 32Gb card, and it worked fine for a few days. When I synced the card today, today's data showed in Oscar, but not 2/5 or 2/4, even there was actual data in the dated folders under DATALOG. Is this a known bug, or possibly a hardware/SD card issue.

I have an archive of the entire root folder, but at 56Mb, it's (I think) a little large to share here.

RE: Oscar - Lost Data Sessions
Hi Herkness! - Welcome

Your SD card is on the small side, Resmed recommends the SD card to be between 2 GB to 32 GB in size. If you are using that small of a card, then the AS10 is sensing it has reached is capacity and will not write to it. The size of each day's files is dependent on the length of your sleep sessions and how many times you cycle (bathroom breaks) the CPAP during that day.

Thanks for the reply. My card sizes are 128Gb and 32Gb, respectively. I'll try to update the original post accordingly. Chalking this up to not enough coffee...

Since you are using Gigabyte and not Megabyte card sizes, the Resmed's firmware does not support any SD card larger than 32 GB.  Its memory model doesn't allow for the additional address space.  Also, when you format the card, make sure that  you are using a FAT32 format.  Resmed has updated the AS11 to overcome this limit and allows for FAT32, as well as, exFAT formatted cards.

RE: Oscar - Lost Data Sessions
Thanks Crimson Nape. I knew about the size limitation, which is why I switched to the 32Gb card. Originally, the 128Gb card was the one I had in my bag and seemed to work. But I wanted to eliminate it as a culprit. The 32Gb card I've been using has been formatted using FAT32.

Just not sure why the ResMed creates the dated folder, and I can see data when I look at the file, but Oscar doesn't show anything other than the AHI for that day (no graphs or any other information)

And thanks OpalRose for correcting my original post (though the size of the archive I've saved is actually only 56Mb). I thought I did it as well, but the edit must not have taken.

RE: Oscar - Lost Data Sessions
You have to have the card in the AS10 during a sleep session for it to record detailed data. Otherwise, it will only provide summary data for those sessions. You probably already know all this stuff, but I'm running through every possible contingency I can think of.

RE: Oscar - Lost Data Sessions
Yep, it was in there all night as well. I'm scratching my head too. ResMed seems to recognize the card when in insert and eject. I'm wondering that it may not be fully connecting internal to the unit. I'm currently looking at a cleaner that you can insert into the unit to clean the contacts with this possibility in mind. Just wondering if anyone else had seen this issue.

However, It doesn't explain why I have a dated folder and data in the folder from the ResMed, but Oscar doesn't show anything other than the AHI.

Ok, changed the archive back to 56Mb.

Do the contact pads on the card look funky? If so, they can be cleaned by rubbing them with a pencil eraser.
