Oscar data management
Can anyone help with my issue of missing data on my AirCurve 10 VAuto machine? I just transferred data from my machine to the Oscar program. I removed chip from cpap machine and inserted it into my Lenovo laptop. I Have 7 years of data on the chip and normally update Oscar every week or so. The last time I up dated the software was 11 days ago. Up until this update all 7 years of data was intact. On this update, only the last 3 hours of data from the night before was loaded. Upon checking data, none of the data from the last update was included (all data for the last 11 days, except the last 3 hours of last night was missing). I checked the data volume on the chip and it shows 99% of the chip empty. I am confused as to what happened. Is it possible the the machine itself stopped recording when the chip became full and for some unknown reason erased the chip and started recording anew at 3 o'clock in the morning last night?

Also, is there a process on Oscar to back up all date (including the Oxy data loaded separately

?

RE: Oscar data management
One more issue on this post. I notice that the pressure setting changed yesterday and I did not change them. Is it possible my doctor accessed the machine, changed setting, caused data to be lost?

RE: Oscar data management
If your doctor reset the machine it could have cleared the card. It is a function designed for use when the machine is transferred from one patient to another. OSCAR should have saved a copy of your SD card so the older data should be on your computer.

RE: Oscar data management
The Resmed importer saves a copy of the data it uses in a BACKUP folder in your profile.
If you were using the Resmed Nonin SpO2 sensor, that data will be saved with you CPAP data.
If you were using a different oximeter, there is no backup, but the data is in OSCAR's database files.

We have received reports that the Resmed machines will re-format the SD card whenit gets full, but we have not verified this. Depending on the size of your card, seven years of data may well have over filled it.

It is possible to remotely reprogram the Resmed machines; it would be huge coincidence for both on the same day.
