RE: Outrageous DME prices
EOB ....Explanation of benefits.
This is a final statement from Medicare showing billed amounts compared to what they actually paid, and what I would be required to pay.

For those that don't have insurance, the price you pay is dependent upon the honesty and integrety of the DME. Sad

My DME knew my insurance would not cover a second machine, and that I would be paying out of pocket.

If I wasn't able to get the new PR System One APAP for the sale price, then I probably would have bought used or open box from Supplier #2.

Bottom line....Insurance and Billing practices can make you crazy. Crazy

RE: Outrageous DME prices
Ah, thanks!

I go to a small pharmacy, not a box store. I pay for my diabetes stuff out of pocket just because it was easier. They always charge me less than what the label says because I am paying out of pocket. This is for stuff behind the counter like test strips. They even made up a coupon so I could get my first meter free. It wasn't supposed to be but they arranged it so it would be. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone was like that? You know?

Just like our prices but we're used to pay dearly for everything
