PR System One Tube Heating locked off.

PR System One Tube Heating locked off.
Ok, I have been lurking here trying to get this dealt with and so far I have found no solution to this issue. When I am in the Clinician settings area, the Tube Heating and Tubing type has a padlock icon and will not allow heating to be turned on or tube type to be changed,(Tube Heating says OFF). My system has the tube heating option and I am using a heated tube. This is the ONLY setting that is locked out. I have tried to erase my SD card, start without the SD card, and many other things suggested here and nothing will change this seemingly permanent setting. If it was set using software through the SD card it must have been a permanent setting that can only be changed by accessing the on board firmware or doing some sort of factory reset. THIS SUCKS! I cannot use my machine to it's full potential.

If ANYONE has any knowledge on this I would appreciate the assistance.  Oh-jeez

Are there two different power supplies for the system one? What I even getting after is that a higher wattage power supply may be required for heated tubing. If there was a system one sold without the heated tubing and the humidifier was swapped for one with heated tubing than the power supply would be incorrect.

I must also add that I have a system one with humidifier and without heated tubing. It came with a 60W power supply. My dreamstation has humidifier and heated tubing and has an 80W power supply. I know that the machines know what power supply they are equipped with. The system one will work on 60 or 80W supplies. The dreamstation will not work on 60W. What power supply are you using?

When you install the heated tube, the System One Humidification automatically controls the relationship of tube-heat and humidity. The machine auto-detects the tube and properly sets the the diameter, this padlocked setting cannot be changed. If you select System One and turn it OFF, you can then separately set humidity (water temperature) and the tube temperature. Go to clinical settings and turn System One humidification OFF and use the manual settings.

Go to Setup menu and be sure that “Heated Tube Humidification” is turned ON. (Not clinician menu)
The tube type defaults to 15mm H when heated tube is connected.

Use the round knob to set desired tube temperature.

You must also use an 80W power brick.

This is ineffective. No change to locked settings.

" Heated Tube Humidification" on the standard setup screen is set to "OFF" with a padlock as well. I have the 80W P/S.

RE: PR System One Tube Heating locked off.
Thanks to all! Unfortunately, none of these suggestions was successful. I am showing a Blue light for humidity and not yellow so I can only assume this function was somehow, and for some reason shut off/locked out when I received the machine.

I am no longer seeing the provider because I felt they were not legitimate. However, I do get a benefit from using my CPAP. I just wish I had full control over a product that I own.

Great forum!

I think it might be the power supply. For the humidifier to work you have to have a 80 watt power cord. Here's a link I found talking about the same problem. http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...ose?page=2

RE: PR System One Tube Heating locked off.
Ok, start over.
Unplug your machine, remove tubing and power brick.

Wait a few minutes, plug back in with 80W power brick.

Reconnect heated tubing. The machine should recognize and set the tubing size to 15H and show a padlock.

Also check in regular setup menu that Heated Tube Humidification is on. It will show a padlock once turned on.
Be sure that System One is set to ON.

If all the above fail, then you may have a bad power brick or a faulty humidifier.
