RE: Periodic limb movement
I had pretty severe obstructive apnea before I began APAP therapy. I also had restless leg syndrome in the afternoons and later in the day. It was very annoying and contributed to lack of sleep at night. After several months into APAP therapy my RLS began to abate. I has now been almost three years. I very rarely have any trouble with RLS and I am now wide awake during the day. I too had issues with the mask. I tried a number of them before I found the one and the adjustments that worked for me.
It is tough for some of us to adjust to whatever type of mask works best and is most comfortable. I was fortunate, the DME provider I worked with went the extra mile to help me receive the best treatment.
Try to stick it out. The benefits of CPAP therapy takes time and concerted effort for some.
At this point, I wouldn't even consider trying to sleep without my Resmed A10!

Sleep is worth the effort.
RE: Periodic limb movement
Thanks Jeff for the encouragement and the "normalizing" of my experience. It gives me hope.
