Pets in the bedroom?

I'm amazed by the number of people who allow their pets to share their bedroom, even their bed. Our dog (3yo cocker spaniel) has his own bed in a nook off the laundry. It's very snug and secure and he uses it quite happily. We have never let cats or dogs share our bedroom.

Our Rottie has full run of the farm house . Some nights she sleeps on her bed in our room. but most nights she's waiting by the door for my son to come in late from work then sleeps with him. He uses cpap too. We don’t notice any hair in the filters from her.

Our bed is high and our two Yorkies have there own wood and carpeted stairs to go up an down as they please. Woof.

3 dogs share our bedroom and share our bed. We try to beat them to bed so we get our space but it usually doesn't work that way so we just move them around when we go to bed. They don't care where on the bed they sleep as long as they get to sleep with their humans.

We never could get our Yorkie to climb the stairs to our bed. I was against the whole dog in bed thing but finally gave in. Now that I have a CPAP machine I no longer care about any of that stuff. I have my own private supply of filtered, humidified air. Whatever else is going on out there is entirely her business.

The Yorkie we have now is weird. Sometimes she'll sleep in the bed, she used to like it under the bed, but now seems to prefer the living room.

I just looked up what that was, I dunno how many of those things I have eradicated, them and tiger snakes, I eventually replaced most of those snakes with black snakes ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-bellied_black_snake ) at my place as they eat the young of the others and keep the numbers of them down, saved me a few bucks in shotgun shells and the blacks are so much friendlier.
Tiz funny how we are all different, I have dispatched quite a few cats also, I hate the things, feral cats are destroying Australian wildlife.
