RE: Philips or Resmed?
Thanks everybody. My new Resmed autoset 10 arrived yesterday. No issues with customs, well packed and excellent Comms from the seller. $650US plus $60 odd for postage and insurance. That's a big saving over the local price of $2100!
RE: Philips or Resmed?
I hope it goes well for you.
I don't know the rules in WA but here in Qld I get to have an 'M' stamped on my drivers licence and have to carry a certificate from my GP saying that my OSA is under control...

In WA we're supposed to notify DoT but there doesn't seem to be any specific process other than notification. It's written up on their website here: https://www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensin...dition.asp#

RE: Philips or Resmed?
So the GP said if I was a truck driver there might be a problem. The Specialist said don't worry about it. My 2 yearly aviation medicals are far more thorough than whatever DOT might dream up. I know I feel so much better on CPAP than off it, so the stick approach is not needed in my case. I will need to tell CASA though via my DAME at my next medical. AHI was 1 last night according to sleepyhead software, so far so good. Specialist also said mandibular splint and lose 15kg would be an alternative to CPAP if I find it too hard. Only way I will lose 15kg is if they sew my lips together. Lol

Holy cow, that is a savings!! Thank goodness for you! If you need fitting information, I noticed that many online dealers even will talk to you via Skype. My guess is your supplier does as well, which will help if you have troubles. Take care! Happy Sleep!

Is the $2100 USD or Australian? What is it in USD?

The $2100 is in Australian $$. That is what the local suppliers charge.

I paid AUD$1650 for a new Respironics Series 60 Auto with Heated Hose from a supplier in Brisbane. That was about $700 cheaper than the price I was quoted from my local supplier in Toowoomba. They wanted the chance to match it but I don't do business that way - I asked them for their best price first up and they blew it.
