Smile

That's a Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) battery. 12 Volt with a capacity in the range of 35 Ampere-Hours.
The AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) SLA battery is best.
It's pretty much the go to battery for a home backup system. Deep cycle is a must. Don't use an automobile starting battery.

For your trailer, you may prefer a higher capacity. Which battery depends upon how much space you have place it.
All lead-acid batteries get heavy when sized for a couple of nights on CPAP -- a factor if you plan to pack the battery into the boondocks by hand.

How do you charge your trailer battery? You probably want a battery that's compatible with the method you use to charge the trailer battery.

There are many threads on battery setups. It's a subject that's been well covered on the forum. Hint: Use the search function.

Here's one good thread: http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...ht=battery

My system for in-home backup is: http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...#pid162941
(At least that's the components I use.)

RE: Placement of CPAP device
Here's my set-up:

In use. I have it on the lower shelf of my nightstand, because the manual says to do it and also because I had rainout (before I moved it lower) and really don't want that again.

Stowed for the day (so my dogs don't eat the mask, and so I don't accidentally step on the hose).

I should drill a hole in the back for the power cord to go through.

I can access my humidifier through touch (can't see it), to pull out the tank. It's a tad of a pain. But rainout was more of a pain.

It may look like the cord is kinked where it comes out of the top, but there's actually about 2-3" of clearance (the board up front is just for facing).

Hydrangia, use a 2 inch hole saw and route both the power and hose out the back. Works great. (get a snuggle hose or other cover...you will thank me).

Sleeprider - Your set-up looks magazine-ready. I love it!

I'd like to get a hose cover, but I'm afraid it would make it too much of a pain to clean the hose. What say you?

RE: Placement of CPAP device
It takes me 15 seconds to remove the hose, and maybe 30 seconds to put it back on. Just hold the cover by one end and "dump" out the hose. To re-cover, just hole the end of the cover open and drop the hose by gravity into the cover. If you're doing it differently, you're working too hard. You will love how much quieter and softer it is. First thing I did when my wife started CPAP was buy her a cover...I was not going to give her mine. Smile

I use the same system as Sleeprider.  Hold the hose high, well I'm short, Sad so I have my hubby hold it high and it drops right into the cover.  Takes less than a minute.
