Please help with treatment review

Last night was a good night. No changes from the night before. AHI was 0.9.

I slept in...over 8 hours sleep. I can't remember doing that in a long, long time.

Last night I slept longer. Woke up ok.  I downloaded my card because of the numbers.

Hoping to learn from what I'm seeing....I'm referring to the period from 6:05 to 6:10.  A number of clear airways.  

What's causing this? How do I prevent it?

I haven't made any change to settings....

We are not treating CA and everything looks perfect other than that. I suspect this was not a problem for how you felt about the sleep until you looked at the charts. Looks very good.

I tend to write off early morning SWJ (sleep wake junk). Possibly you are not fully asleep those early morning hours, tossing and turning and holding your breath.

Still using my cpap pillow. And Knightsbridge dual strap. No home made pad under my jaw.

I'm feeling better, and have more energy.

I do fall asleep in front of the tv...and it gets noticed with comments. I sleep about 8 hours a night typically. I'm grateful that I don't have to get up most nights.

A question: does my new Autoset for her work differently when set "for her"? There was a comment in another post saying to set it for male use.

I'm using my Knightsbridge Strap every night.
I find that it works well, provided I'm careful with fitting.

And I recently read a gentleman's description of how to fit a mask properly here. It was amazing.

The other night I made an almost insignificant change in my N20 headgear settings...the ones for the lower jaw. It helped a lot.

My apologies asking a silly question about changing the "auto for her" setting. I'm feeling well about treatment. I'll let well enough alone. I just realized that it's been a such a while that I've been into the clinician settings that I've forgotten how to do it!

Dave, the modes of an Autoset become less important when your machine is fully optimized to your needs. I say that because my target in optimizing is to ensure minimum pressure is high enough, the machine does not vary in pressure by 2-3 cm through the night. At that point, if you're below 12 cm, the For Her will increase pressure due to flow limitation a li-gttle faster and hold it a little longer. Both modes will respond to an OA event about the same. I'm pretty sure, your pressure is not bouncing around a lot and if you're curious to try the other mode, just put on your big-girl skirt and go for it.

Let me know if you notice any difference. I would guess not since your minimum pressure is above the level that the for her algorithm responds to flow limitation, and it may actually inhibit response at those pressures.
