Last night I had the worst night ever with this mask. I can't believe how many times I reached under the seal to cure unbearable itch.
I had taken pains to adjust the mask.
Got up; back to bed I put the mask back on and put my Knightsbridge Dual Band cap on over the mask headgear.
Good news? Solves my leak problems. (doing all this when I should have been asleep is dangerous. Cognitive issues; lack of sleep.)
Bad news? This nights sleep was the worst I've had in treatment. I desperately want a full face mask to work.There were 3 segments of sleep.
* Mask alone
* Mask with Knightsbridge Dual Band over top
* No mask; no machine on. I'd had it last night
Feeling---brain fog. Anxiety.

An improvement
Been reading posts here and Gideon's wiki for OSCAR.
What was wrong:
* machine was set up in *for her* mode.
* Horrible frequent flow limits
What I did:
* Changed back to *Not for her* mode. apap
Result:
* far fewer flow limits.
Thanks Gideon for your "work in progress" I appreciate it.
edit: I hope to learn enough I can help myself diagnose my own problems. "Physician help thyself"

this is the result of an hour's sleep after I put the card in the machine.
Please take a look and see what's happening.
Thanks.
Feeling---tired. exhausted. Mind fog.

Last night I had my first good night using my Elora Full, full face mask. I woke up refreshed. I did have the machine off twice.
Leakage is still a concern.
I used the F&P Elora Full mask
I used my home made cervical collar.
Slept on my back as I always do; no pillow.

I'm taping my lips; using my home made cervical collar. I'm very grateful for this success.
So masks in order of preference
* P30i
* N20 .... but it scratches the top of my nose! permanent scab I've had many of these and never had a problem.
* ....N30i doesn't work so well for me.
* F&P Evora Full...ditto

Observation--a month ago. I switched from "for her" algorithm back to the basic algorithm. Feel more comfortable.

No, it is a different algorithm. The "Soft" setting determines how fast the pressure raises from the EPAP to the IPAP. Of course, this will only have an impact when the EPR function is being used.

The video shows limits that affect performance of the S10 when using the "for her" algorithm

I've found the video to be very helpful explaining flow limitations and settings. It also opens up the discussion--is APAP better than CPAP? I'm feeling very tired each day after wearing my mask, using my machine for about 7 hours. And Im waking up for a trip to the washroom every night, then having real issues getting back to sleep.
