Dave, have you tried Somnifix tape? It isn’t cheap, but I find it is quite reliable and very gentle on the skin.

thanks Dormeo. I'll look for it. See if it's available here in Ontario Canada.
(see you are from California--useless information from me---Ontario Canada was founded by the Chaffeys. They had a mill at Chaffeys Lock Ontario on the Rideau Canal. I worked there two summers at Alford's Marina pumping gas on the dock. It's a beautiful small town that almost shuts down in winter. Chaffeys left Ontario Canada and founded Ontario California!)

Oh...there used to be a sign on a tree by an old ball diamond. California That was on Jones Falls Road nearby; it's gone now. Don't know why that sign was there....wish I knew. Jones Falls has a horseshoe dam and 4 locks. That dam was built by Colonel By to create the Rideau Canal in the early 1800's. It was the largest in the world back then.)

Latest.

2 nights ago I woke up during the night.
I threw off my Dakota wedge. It's uncomfortable.
My treatment went to heck.
Mouthbreathing.
My machine showed increasing and severe apnea events. My score for the entire night next morning was 6.8 AHI....I have a screenshot I can post when I'm on my desktop.
Then I threw off my pillow. Things were much better.

Last night
No pillow at all (take some getting used to; particularly when I roll on my side.)
cpap cap on. On tight. That's a hat with a velcro chinstrap.
Score was good. 0.8 AHI; I didn't have time to download and use OSCAR.

RE: Please help with treatment review
I wondered whether there was any connection between the two Ontarios, and now I know - - thanks!

Isn't it strange how variable sleep is from one night to the next? Oh, and I wanted to mention that I get Somnifix tape strips via Amazon.

Thanks Dormeo! Chaffey's Lock is a beautiful little town. I locked through countless time as a young teenager.

Here's my screenshot.

A learning exprience

You can see the "pee break". During that time off the machine, I removed the tape I used to seal my mouth shut.
I really had trouble sleeping from then on. Machine was working, mask was on however. And I was using my cpap wedge pillow.
That's when I had a huge rush of apnea events.

I think I never slept after that...

Final change, I took my cpap wedge pillow and threw it across the room. I see that virtually all the apnea events stopped! So my thought is that the crick in my old neck using a cpap pillow causes many of my apnea events. Make sense?
