Please, we need your advice!

RE: Please, we need your advice!
Hi Crimson Nape,

Ok. The important thing is that the information reported by SH be reliable, exact and that important details are not lost. I'm going to look for your contributions to get a little more about this.

Thanks.

Sleepyhead is as accurate as your machine is.  It simply imports the data and displays it.  The numbers it shows are numbers that it gets from the SD card in your machine.

Quote:As for UPPP surgery, we will talk about it with the otolaryngologist to see what he tells us.

In my experience medical specialists like to promote their speciality. Surgeons like to cut. So I believe you should also do some independent research prior to meeting your Dr. In particular, you might like to find out how many people have this surgery and still end up needing CPAP anyway. There are a few threads on this forum where people recount their experiences - a quick search for "UPPP" should find something.

Yes, that is the soft cervical collar that people refer to.  I wear one at night to prevent chin tucking and also to keep my mouth closed.  I don't know if it was the chin tucking or a change to a higher pressure, but I started breathing out my mouth at night.  Using this collar fixed that and now I can use a nasal mask or nasal pillows again.

I will do the search about the UPPP related posts while arrives the day (still far) of the appointment with the specialist. Also, this week we will look for the soft cervical collar that best fits to my wife.

Going back a little at the beginning, where you offer me help to configure the machine, we are ready to do it. What should we do?

Thanks.

Your wife has a Resmed S9 Elite with H5i humidifier. You need to enter the clinical menu and find out what the current pressure setting is. Plug in the machine and press the control knob and home button at the same time, then rotate the knob to enter the Settings, and press once. Scroll through the settings and copy down what you see.

In addition, we need to narrow down what was most objectionable or uncomfortable for your wife that made her quit therapy. Finally, if you can look at the existing data in Sleepyhead, that would be a huge head start, but we can live without it.

Hi Sleeprider,

You have given me a very important task, I will follow your instructions and when I have all the data (maybe tomorrow), I will publish it here.

Thank you very much.
