The dreaded 1019 error on a VPAP auto Resmed
Hi all,
First time on here. The error 1019 on my display is for "low air flow" can someone tell me if I change the AWM730B5 Mass air sensor will this get me going? This code happened after an over fill of the humidifier.. Basically, does the start up sequence begin with the sensor or begin with the fan starting? I have now fan movement at all on power up...
Thanks
Harold

Assume you got all the water out of the hose and the machine has dried. This will not be a user-repairable item Suppliers 27 and 28 on the Supplier List are repair facilities. You can contact them, and I know that at least with Supplier 27 you can get an estimate before sending in the machine. Your DME can do this on your behalf, but I would expect it to take longer, and I don't know if the water damage is a warranty item or if it would be considered abuse.

The sensor together with the program logic act as a fan controller. It sounds like you may have damaged the main board with a short circuit. That would prevent any power from reaching the fan.

Good luck. I'm sure you're anxious to get your machine working as soon as possible. Do you have a standby unit, or will your DME loan you one while repairs occur?

Thank you! I have a much older unit that is chugging right along.. I'll contact your suggestions. I need a new sleep study for new equipment but NONE of the 5 disorder clinics will take my Blue cross Blue shield insurance.. Closest one is 60 miles away.
Thanks again!

Harold, what part of the world are you in? There might be some alternatives. Also, I get my prescriptions from my primary care doctor, an internal medicine specialist. While he would be glad to refer me to a sleep specialist, we have a relationship where he respects that I know what I need, and he writes the prescriptions as needed. I'm sure you know what you need as well.

We need to get this thread moved to the main forum...

My feeling is that water damage is nearly always to the sensors; which as Sleeprider points out are not user replaceable.
