RE: Need opinions on my flow rate please
Osiris, the link provided by JoeyWallaby works. You will need to go to page where he began using EERS to resolve centrals http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...#pid318231 . You might recall Fred mentioned using EERS early in your thread as a possible solution, and I think iit will work for you if you can figure out how to put together the enhanced rebreathing space. Here is our wiki on the subject: http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...ace_(EERS)

RE: Need opinions on my flow rate please
I don’t have access to my computer because I’m at work but going off my previous charts would raising my minimum pressure fight off my flow limitations that happen even when my pressure is already at 13 or higher? Just a thought because from what I understand flow limitations stress the heart and are supposed to be eliminated by the pressure correct? That’s the whole point of using cpap to stop osa from happening at all and since flow limitations are the precursor to osa how does the pressure not stop flow limitations from happening at all? Very confused

RE: Need opinions on my flow rate please
The goal of CPAP is to reduce events to a reasonable level. Total elimination is an unrealistic goal. Events should be reduced to the point where you get a restorative restful sleep. As your numbers come down it becomes more important to know how you feel, what your symptoms are. For Flow Limitations raising Pressure Support, EPR on ResMed, is a far more effective than increasing EPAP or base pressure and the need may indicate a need to move to a BiLevel machine with it's capability to provide much higher Pressure Support.
A CPAP pressure of 15+ is considered grounds for considering a BiLevel. On a CPAP, especially with EPR =3, increasing pressure is your only option. Feel free to bump pressure up and see if you feel better.

RE: Need opinions on my flow rate please
Thank you Bonjour. So far on EPR 1 my CA’s are coming down. I’m going to give it a week on 1 then bump it up to 2. My AHI fell below 2 the night before last (haven’t seen last nights yet) for the first time with EPR on so I think the CA’s with go away with time. I feel good today thanks to everyone who’s chimed in. I can’t thank all of you enough! As far as EERS is concerned, I’m going to leave that as a last resort if I can’t convince my doc that I need a different machine. If it comes to that
