What's my best pressure?
I've been about a 5-year on/off user (ResMed Elite II). I've never been a happy camper with the CPAP, but I've surrendered to the inevitable: do or die. Will somebody point me to the right pressure to set my Elite II. I have the pressure set at five, now. Is this a good starting point? I have had sleep studies (i have long lost the results) and I have had clinicians set pressures. I'm using a full-face mask which is the only mask that works for me. I'm a mouth breather. I'm 150 lbs., 5'9", and 83. I'd like my run to last at least one more year. If you can offer a suggestion or two, I'll be indebted.
RE: What's my best pressure?
Hi papillon, welcome to the forum
Everyone pressure is different so what apply to me or some else would be of no use to you Having a new sleep study is the best option, autpPAP (self titarting) is next best option Assume you,re using an S8 Elite (straight CPAP), you can go by AHI, leak and how you feel providing keeping the mask on all night, every night. ResScan Support S8 but you need special data card reader, not easy to find on ebay Edit: this might be of some help, How to find the optimum pressure on your constant-pressure CPAP machine http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pr...re-on-cpap
