ComfortGel Blue Exhalation Port
Used this mask for the first time and it seems a lot of air is coming out of the exhalation port. Is this normal for this mask?

Thanks

better than suffocating because of too little air coming out.

Is the air coming out of 50 or so holes in a little gray "plate" in the elbow of the air fitting? Unless that plate is missing, damaged, or there'1s air leaking out around the edges, there doesn't seem to be a lot of potential for something to go wrong.

Do you really have the REMstar M series machine? Which model? Some of them will give you a "total leak" average for 7 or 30 days on the display.

Do you have the clinician's manual? If so, you can figure out how to display the information.

Take the water tank out before messing with the machine. Also realize some leak is normal. The CG blue mask should leak about 25 l/m at 9 cmH2O.
