RE: What brand of CPAP do you use?
I have both Resmed and Respironic machines. Both are competent manufacturers. Cost/Benefit is about the same, IMO. Some DME favour one over the other, but that has nothing to do with machine competence or treatment outcome.
RE: What brand of CPAP do you use?
I was given a Philips Respironics by my DME, who in turn was chosen by my ENT surgeon who I trust.
From conversation I've seen here and on other forums, they seem to be perfectly good machines. They are second in popularity, though, to the Resmed machines, which are also fine machines.
Resmeds are more expensive, but their software is free and their on-screen displays give you more information.
If I were to buy a machine today, I'd get the Resmed auto. I'd like to see how I'd do on an APAP, and I'd like to get a look at how the software works compared to SleepyHead. Realistically, there's not much chance I'll be buying another machine, though.
