Using ResScan 7.0
BEFORE downloading ResScan (any version) I wanted to ask:
Does the ResScan software scan the flowcurve and then reanalyze the events?
(to be clear, my understanding is that OSCAR reports the analysis that was done by the Cpap's firmware, what I'd like to know is does ResScan disregard the Cpap's firmware analysis and perform a new analysis to identify events and patterns).
Can Version 7 be used with both an AirSense 11 as well as a Dreamstation 1?
If version 7 can be used on the Dreamstation1, are there likely to be discrepancies in analyzing events between an a ResScan analysis and the Respironics on-board firmware analysis?
Thanks
RE: Using ResScan 7.0
Just to be CRYSTAL clear......
Resmed cpap's firmware analyzes and flags events / patterns / grades flow limtations, etc.
Oscar provides a user-friendly way to display the firmware's output. Oscar does not analyze - it reports
ResScan does the same thing, no analysis - just reports. However ResScan is limited to Resmed CPaP machines.
Do I have that correct?
(the reason I'm asking is that I was told that ResScan either provided more information and analysis or was somehow more reliable than OSCAR)
RE: Using ResScan 7.0
You are correct in your assumptions. ResScan is somewhat terse in it reporting compared to OSCAR. Someone as giving you incorrect information. ResScan does have several reporting forms/methods that the government has used for their standard for certain professions. The compliance reports are the two main ones that come to mind.
