Problem with Full Face Mask
I thought that using a full face mask would solve my dry mouth problem but it's just as bad. Can anyone explain why? Frustrated!

Hi Sandra_ON,
Where do you have your humidity set?

No, it doesn't always. You're still breathing through your mouth. The hope, though, is that the air is now more humid and will help with that.
Like Trish said, check the humidifier settings. And keep in mind, too high a humidifier setting can be just as bad as too low. You want enough to make the air not so dry it dries out your mouth but not so wet you have rain in your mask. It's a delicate balance that, with time, you'll get better at.

Mouth breathing in any form will lead to dry mouth. Even while using a humidifier your mouth will be dry; there's just not enough moisture in the air to keep it from drying out.
You can try mouth rinses or gels from Biotene and that will help some.

RE: Problem with Full Face Mask
Strangely, I have been using the PadACheek mask liner and this solved my dry mouth issue. The liner comes with instruction to enlarge the area that is around your nose and mouth as needed. I did NOT enlarge the hole.. I arrange it so my nose is free but it almost covers my lips. It is working like a light chin strap. It also helps with the leaks that sometime occur at the corners of the mouth when my mouth used to hang open.
Don't know if it works that way for everyone, just my experience. Good luck!

I use a chin strap regardless of whether it is a full face or nasal mask.
