Problem with Resmed Swift FX mask/hose leaking

Problem with Resmed Swift FX mask/hose leaking
Hi all, I recently switched from a Resmed P10 mask to a Resmed Swift FX. I really liked the P10, but lack of adjustability of the headgear was a problem. The Swift is similar (nasal pillows), but adjustable. With the P10, the hose was semi-integrated, but with the Swift, the hose and mask are two separate parts. It's a relative no-brainer as far as the assembly. But I'm finding that it loses its seal periodically and starts to leak between the hose and the mask. When it does, it wakes me up. A minor head movement will reestablish the seal, but it just happens again. The hose is NOT under tension. It's well routed with plenty of ability to move. I tried calling Resmed, but only got a person who's first language was clearly not English, and was really no help. I've looked at it myself to try to determine the problem. It's like there's just a squeak too much clearance between the thickness of the mask, and the two washers that capture it on each side. It's like it needs a very thin shim to take up just a small amount of clearance. Anyone use this same mask having a similar problem?
Thanks in advance,
D Dave

RE: Problem with Resmed Swift FX mask/hose leaking
OK - I already posted my response in the other thread:

The Swift FX has a short adapter hose that connects to the mask - the hose from the CPAP attaches to the other end of that adapter hose. If you remove that adapter for cleaning and didn't get it put back together properly, it will leak.

Also, even a small leak seems loud, but might not be big enough for the CPAP to report it. I think as long as the CPAP pressure can overcome that leak, it doesn't record it.
