Most common cause of this fault is a failed AC adapter cord. If so, it might be a good time to get the heated hose adapter (requires PRS1 60 Series). They cost about $75 and include a higher rated adapter cord, new humidifier lid and heated hose. You have an older machine, and might qualify for a new replacement if your insurance is good.

Thanks Sleeprider for the quick response
I will order a new AC adapter

I found it. #6T-CONVKIT. That's a great deal

I have one installed on my PRS1 BiPAP, and did the conversion when it was my primary machine. It makes a nice difference in the humidifier performance, and gives you a stronger adapter. Top it off with a fleece hose cover and you won't recognize the machine.
