Update: I tried the machine again last night, and it was completely back to normal. I guess the flapping was a side effect of the experimentation with humidification.

Don't let that stop you from experimenting! Even bad results can be enlightening. What you experienced is a design feature of the machine and not a flaw. Enlightenment = It served to point out the fact that if your air flow fall too low the life saver flap is working to save you. Wink

The flapping since you went to manual humidification mode probably was due to water being in the valve. The PRS1 does not have a cool down mode like the resmed. when its on its on and when its off its off.

You might have to low a min pressure or you could have the System one resistane setting wrong for the mask your using and low min pressure combined that could cause it.
