I am getting severe eye inflammation from using my CPAP with a full face mask.
While the CPAP therapy has been quite effective, the side effects of having the air blowing constantly on my eyes has had a detrimental effect. I have been to the optometrist and am using eye drops 3 times a day and it is still not reducing the inflammation.
This is now hampering my work and I was looking for recommendations to see what I can do to reduce the eye inflammation. I am attaching the statistics from OSCAR. Missed days are due to severe eye inflammation compounded by allergies.
I had similar issues with FFM at the beginning of my cpap journey. If you absolutely positively need FFM, you might consider a mask liner. I think the problem is that the top part of the strap may need to be tightened a bit. Or you could try a different brand FFM. They are not all the same. People have different face shapes.
Unless you have deviated septum or other nasal plumbing issues, you may not truly need FFM. If not, pillows are great. Although I am not a bouth breather during the day, my jaw pops open at night when I get super relaxed so I tape the mouth. Works great for me.

I have similar problem. I have dry eye, (questionable Sjogren's) which led to Salzmann's nodules on my corneas which had to be removed before I had cataract surgery. I had used CPAP for a couple years before this came to light. Ophthalmologist said the nodules are cause by eye dryness.
My current regimen is rx. Xiidra drops 2x day, plus lots of OTC lubricating drops during the day. At night, I use Refresh Celluvisc eye gel--thicker, but not like an ointment. ( I can only tolerate preservative-free eye products). Immediate after instilling the Celluvisc, apply a snug eye cover (eye mask or ever a sock will do) I tape a small baffle above the air vent holes on my cushion to deflect the air downward. I also have to use a soft cervical collar (ReLeaf is a great option) to keep my mouth closed. Good luck!
I had VERY mild dry eye prior to starting CPAP. Once I started, either mask leaks (I had an awful time finding a mask) or exhaust leaks exacerbated my dry eye to the point that I could barely function. I could not drive; reading, knitting, using the computer were almost impossible; I was actually in pain. One doctor put in punctal plugs, suggested various drops and ointments. I finally found a good mask and a better specialist. My mask does not leak and I sleep with a silicone eye mask to protect my eyes. The combination has been a lifesaver!
