ResMed 10 Autoset Question
Are there any advantages to setting the machine from Standard to Soft response as related to Central Apenas?

RE: ResMed 10 Autoset Question
Not directly, centrals are not treated with pressures. However, if your centrals are treatment-emergent, there *might* be a small possibility that the difference in pressure changes might contribute to centrals.
  • Run with Standard for a month.
  • Change to Soft, and make a slight change to your maximum pressure (add or subtract 0.2). Assuming your maximum pressure is well above where it needs to be, this will not change any therapy. But it will create a a new entry in your OSCAR statistics page.
  • Run with Soft for a month.
  • Now you can easily use OSCAR to compare the difference between AHI, and the difference will have better statistical significance
