ResMed AirCurve 10 Error 021?
#1
Question
ResMed AirCurve 10 Error 021?
I have an error message "System Fault Refer to User Guide Error 021" displaying on my ResMed AirCurve 10 machine.  When the error displays, the machine no longer delivers Therapy Air.   The User Guide has to definition for this 021 error code whatsoever.  Can anyone advise me on how to resolve this problem

Not sure if this is an ASV or VAuto but the guide says "refer to provider" suggesting that it is something that only a certified repair shop would have information on (if there are any).
Did you try calling ResMed?
If this is a device supplied through insurance, I am guessing they will simply replace it if it's not something trivial to fix on the spot.

I may have corrected this problem by removing the SD-Card and replacing it with a new SD-Card?  My ResMed AirCurve 10 has been up and running correctly now for an hour!   I never would have believed it replacing the SD-Card would fix it!

Can't beat that :-)
I'm so glad that the message didn't say something obtuse like "SDcard error"... "Error 021" is way more descriptive. ;-)

RE: ResMed AirCurve 10 Error 021?
Generally, according to ResMed, an Error Code 0XX (except for Error Code 004, which means that the machine is overheated or that the tubing is blocked - check your filter, tubing, etc. unplug, let it cool and reset) is considered to be an 'unrecoverable error' and can only be dealt with by ResMed repair. You should contact your DME for assistance in this matter as ResMed generally only deal with DME and not individual consumers when it comes to repair issues. Your machine has a 2 year warranty on it (check the serial number on the back - the 3rd and 4th digits are the year of manufacture and the next 3 digits roughly correspond to the Julian date which is the day it was made - the bigger those numbers are the later in the year it was issued. If your machine is less than 2 years old ResMed will generally honor the warranty by issuing a new machine - damage from smoke or water will void the warranty - or if the machine is out of warranty the machine needs to be sent in for a free estimate of repair. ResMed will issue two estimates - one that would be billed to insurance and is much higher than the other estimate, which is what your actual out of pocket would be.
