I did not know there was such a thing as a trial mask.

If the headgear isn't working for you, the Dreamwear with arms headgear fits the N30i mask and sits lower.  I use it with the stretchy self-adhering foam athetic tape (can't think of the real name someone used in another thread!) wrapped around the back part and it stays in place fine.

Also, I'm curious if the discounted mask kits are the "old" stock they still have on hand with the original cushions that are partially hard plastic.  I find the newer all-silicone masks to be more comfortable.

Wow, good to know!  With the cushions selling separately elsewhere for around $30 each, that's amazing!

2nd night....worse grades yet.

I woke a number of times. I found that the strap behind my head was slipping.  

Is there a fix for this?

If there's no fix this mask doesn't work for me

With a medium cushion I found my ahi was worse as well. I think it’s because of the v shape in the cushion. It sort of pinched my nose. I am waiting on a wide cushion to test with. 

I did find the headgear slips up some for me to.

Advantages....breathing seems easier! Feels more natural!

Comfort! Except for slipping strap on back of my head. (CrazyGlue? )

Disadvantage...AHI is awful.

Brent my DME supplier will load me a mask for a week. It's excellent.

I went to them; stood outside at the door. They brought me a cpap mask. No bag. No packaging. I asked questions, went to my car where I put it on to make sure I knew how. We talked a bit at the door about my treatment. They supplied/sold me my apap machine. ResMed S10 "for her".

I love the make up of the mask but the Cushions just dont work for me.  They cut into my bottom lip.  I wanted to try a Wide cushion but he sent me an old stock with plastic.  I love everything but the cushions..

The silicone doesn't have the thicker more stable lip section like the dreamwear..  Oh well..

Brent my treatment for OSA was horrible and very stressful. I work in a large office.

I talked to everyone that showed signs of using a mask and machine....mask marks. :-)

I asked them 3 questions.

1. Who is your sleep doc?
2. Are you happy with the doc?
3. Who is your DME supplier?

That's how I found my DME supplier. I've gone to them now for over about 8 years. Lots of masks. One machine.

That was my first break through! I still go to the same office. Every once in a while I remind them how important their service is.

I ended up going to the same sleep doc that my co-worker went to. He treats me right. Not like Dr Inouye "The Sleep Doc from H*ll"

Not to get off topic a bit.
I don't have a DME other than me and the internet.  I don't use Insurance, I have insurance but they require a-lot of unneeded stuff.  Plus my Deductible is super high so when I had a dme they would send me months of stuff that I would never use and send me this huge bill.  I still have supplies from 4 years ago..

I like the Sleep clinic the people are nice but its Mc Donalds drive up and visit medicine.  I had the SS, got DX, Got a machine, had 3 follow up appointments in 4 years.  Not once have I met the doctor.  Since Corona hit I just canceled all my appointments last may.  If I wanted to see a Nurse I can talk to myself (not that I am  Sleep Nurse far from it. One day after SD, Sleep Rider and Gideon train me maybe..).  Maybe After the Pandemic becomes endemic I will look for a new Sleep doc.  

I love my Internal Medicine doctor.

I had to go back the Dreamwear nasal cushion mask it just works great on me.
