ResMed AirMini with DreamWear mask

ResMed AirMini with DreamWear mask
I need to buy a travel CPAP, and it looks like the ResMed AirMini is the best choice. (The HDM Z2 looked interesting until I read that it's fixed pressure.)

I very much want to be able to use my Phillips DreamWear mask, as much as I dislike Phillips these days after their cheesy (non)recall of my Phillips CPAP. I really need a mask with the hose connection on the top of the head because I'm one of those odd birds: a stomach sleeper. When I roll, a front-of-the-face mask gets tangled.

So, my question: Is there any way to cobble up a connection that allows the AirMini to work with a DreamWear mask? I'm sure this question has been asked before in this forum, but was unable to find the info by searching.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm not familiar with the Resmed AirMini, but mask brands are not tied to machines? While many machines do allow you to select general mask types, IE, Full Face / Nasal / Pillow, they do not require you to only use Resmed Masks on Resmed Machines. Use whatever mask you want, and if there is a setting to select mask type, select that closest to what you are using. The Dreamware has different cushion options so select the one type you are using and you should be good to go.

The AirMini is sadly an exception to that rule. It restricts the set of masks you can use, and doesn't include DreamWear masks. It has a confusing set of mask adapter options that limit the mask choices.

Thanks for chiming in ST. I've never heard of this with this particular machine, so perfect timing.

However, I wonder if some trial and error might present a setting that works with the DW mask?

Does this AirMini have an SD card slot, and is it Oscar compatible? if so, it might be worth some tests.

It really isn't so much trial and error, but it is a physical thing that prevents it from using other masks. However, searching online, you can buy 3rd party adapters than enable you to do that.

As for the card and OSCAR, sorry. There is no SD card and no way to extract the data to read in OSCAR.
