[Treatment] Help interpreting data -- all CAs??
#11
RE: Help interpreting data -- all CAs??
My CA's increase greatly with even small pressure changes, so I set my auto machine at a fixed pressure. You might check your pressure graph and see if your CA's are associated with changes in pressure.

The suggestions to limit the pressure increases to stay below a threshold that triggers CA seem logical. There may even be some trade-off in CA and OA. If this does not help resolve the high rate of CA, or if an equal pattern of complex apnea develops, then you may need to consider that you are no longer treating obstructive sleep apnea, and need a different tool That decision may need to be implemented through your doctor in the form of a sleep study or revised prescription for ASV.

RE: Help interpreting data -- all CAs??
Update: I turned EPR off and the number of CAs for the last 4 nights have been reduced significantly. AHI was 3.9, 3.24, 2.66, 4.07 CA = 3.73, 2.36, 2.19, 3.17). On the other hand, now I have large leaks several times a night caused by opening my mouth (confirmed by my wife). Going to try EPR=1 for a few nights, will report back!

Also interesting that the By Pressure results are now different, not as related to pressure: Last night AHI=1.48 at pressure 7, 5.77 at 8, 2.61 at 9, 5.55 at 10. Results are similar for the other nights, maybe 9 is the optimum pressure?
