ResScan?

ResScan?
Newbie here.  I have an AirSense 10 AutoSet and ResScan 5.8.0.9556.  Pulled the memory card to see how the first week has gone. I did not check the three boxes for drivers.  When I try to launch ResScan I get an error "Pure virtual function called" and the program aborts launch.  Any suggestions?

I had that error. Rebooting my machine fixed it. If that doesn't do it try a re-install.

RE: ResScan?
I'm not tech wiz kid at this. My understanding is that MicroSoft removed a vital component in Windows 10.
You might try using the ResScan link that was sent to you and changing 5.8 to 5.5 to get an earlier version.
Version 5.5 might work; but maybe not.

RE: ResScan?
This error has been reported several times.  Checking the Microsoft website shows this to be a VC++ error after an update to Windows 10 Creators Edition.  I think it's build 1703.  You will need to re-install the VC++ library then reboot.  If that doesn't correct it, you will need to uninstall the library and then perform a clean install.  Additionally if you're running a 64 bit version of Windows, you will need to do this for both the 32 and 64 bit versions of VC++.

I don't know which version you might need so here is a list of version downloads:
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2005
32 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x86.exe
64 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x64.exe

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2008
32 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x86.exe
64 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x64.exe

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2010
32 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x86.exe
64 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x64.exe

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012
32 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x86.exe
64 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x64.exe

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2013
32 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x86.exe
64 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st_x86.exe

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015
32 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st.x86.exe
64 Bit:
https://download.microsoft.com/download/...st.x64.exe

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2017
32 Bit:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=746571
64 Bit:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=746572

I'd start with the newest first.  If you're successful, please let us know which version solved your problem.

Good Hunting!

I have a windows 10 Samsung Galaxy TabProS and installed the drivers and it works fine.  Out of curiosity why didn't you install the drivers?

Because in most cases, installing the drivers will destroy the installation forever.  If you don't have one of those three specific ResMed devices listed below, you don't need the drivers and installing these drivers (in the past) have proved to be fatal to any future installations of ResScan... See the warning (from HERE):

Quote:INSTALLATION WARNING:

During the first part of the software installation, it will ask you if you want to install their 3 proprietary drivers.  DO NOT CHECK any of the 3 boxes for these drivers, unless you have one of the following three ResMed-brand devices:

  1) ResMed S9 USB Adapter (P/C: 36950) or ResMed S8 USB Adapter (P/C: 22203)

  2) ResMed's ResScan Data Card Reader (P/C: 22207) or ACR 38U Smart Card Reader

  3) ResMed Stellar ventilator machine with direct USB connection

   Some users have reported that installing these drivers makes the ResScan program non-functional. If you're not sure what to do, try installing the software without the drivers first to see if the program runs properly without them.

RE: ResScan?
Have not had any success in getting ResScan (any version) to work on 'Creators'. I suspect now that Microsoft has announced that Creators is "ready for business use" that ResScan will get a fix soon.
Using FlashAir W-03 SD card in machine. You can download your data through wifi with FlashPAP or Sleep Master utilities.

I wanted to learn Binary so I enrolled in Binary 101. I seemed to have missed the first four courses. Big Grinnie

Stick it to the man, Download OSCAR and take back control of your data!

Thanks Ian. Like I didn't have enough Honey-Do projects to tackle. Mornincoffee

RE: ResScan?
FWIW I got ResScan working by getting VC++ 2017 and making sure dedicated graphics was running the program, my laptop has 2 graphics cards, an integrated Intel on the CPU and a separate dedicated NVIDIA
