ResScan 6.0 Software Questions

ResScan 6.0 Software Questions
1. Does anyone know if there is limit to the entries on a person tracked by ResScan 6.0??  That is, will I will able to keep my data for a number of years or will it drop off data after so many entries as new data is entered??

2. Also, will downloading from my ResMed AirSense 10 Elite's SD card create cumulative entries in ResScan 6.0 or just over write it all?  My objective is to have ongoing records.  If it is an overwrite, then how do I do this to keep the old records?

Thanks.

RE: ResScan 6.0 Software
A quick answer is ResScan will maintain all your data.  The only item that will be overwritten is the SD card's data and that is when the card reaches its capacity.  The oldest files will be the first to be overwritten.

Each night's data has a unique name, preventing any file overwriting,  There are some database files that store CPAP settings and any changes.  Data updates are added routinely and the data is appended to these files, no overwriting occurs.

SD cards are notorious for going bad in a heartbeat. For this reason many of us strongly suggest copying its contents to a dedicated directory on your computer. That way you have a copy of your complete sleep data history.

I hope I have addressed you questions.

RE: ResScan 6.0 Software
ResScan 6.0, and any earlier version, is compatible with the S9. Unless you need this type of report for a compliance requirement, I would highly suggest using #SleepyHead.  #SleepyHead is more intuitive and easier to comprehend than ResScan.

RE: ResScan 6.0 Software
Copying ResScan 6.0 data to a dedicated directory is an excellent idea.  I have now done that and also copy that information to an external drive.

And hearing that SD Cards fail, I bought two spares.  (a spare and an heir?).

My routine is this.
1. CPAP SD Card is copied to the computer hard drive.
2. SD Card is dismounted and then removed and put back into the CPAP.
3. The information from step one is copied to the external drive.
4. The information from step one is copied to my spare SD Card.
5. I use the spare SD Card with the new information to download to ResScan 6 and Sleepyhead.
I use the SD Card copy to protect a read goof-ups while reading the SD Card.

Now I am ready if the SD fails and/or if the computer fails.

RE: ResScan 6.0 Software Questions
The username and password is your username and password for your windows installation. If you dont have or want to enter the password download version 5.9 the link for that is also in the email you received to get 6.0 as thisdoes not have the password and works perfectly
