ResScan Won't recognize mounted card

ResScan Won't recognize mounted card
OK, here's my problem. ResScan 6 will recognize my SD card and download the data when the SD card is plugged into the computer. However, I like to backup my SD card and run ResScan on 3 different computers (??? just me), not all at once. :-) So I like to convert the SD card to an ISO file for backup and importing the data in those other computers without having to use the SD card itself. I mount it essentially creating a drive letter for the ISO file. This works fine with SleepyHead, but not with ResScan. I've created the ISO file with 3 different software in case that had something to do with it, but running a SHA256 on it they are all the same so I guess that isn't it.

Anybody got any idea why it won't work with ResScan? Or how to make it work?

ResScan will only recognize a mounted SD card. There are programs that can mimic a directory as a mounted device. It is a hit-or-miss operation when you try this. I had one program that worked exactly once then ResScan would never attach after that.

I use imdisk to emulate a virtual SD card in Windows. The mey is to specify the disk as removable The one challenge is it does not auto attach the SD card on reboot so I have a number of batch files to mount the card if it is not mounted

Thanks - I have deleted stats which I did manage to upload to my computer.  Will see tonight if it works.  Will locking the card when I put it in my computer prevent Microsoft from writing files to it?

Yes! That's the point of locking it.

OK, not wanting to fuss with a bunch of different software when I'm moving from computer to computer I've just decided to copy the data either from original SD card or the mounted ISO to another SD card and use that as I go from computer to computer.
