Papit Wrote:Nice work. Does this software accomodate the addition of pulse-oximetry data in a way that graphs it in time scale sync with the rest of SleepyHead's graphs? If so, how would you go about doing the computer steps (instructions please, if available) to "marry" the pulse and 02 satuaration data from this pulse-oximeter model: NatureSpirit Bluetooth Wireless Fingertip Pulse Oximeter CMS-50E ?

Thanks much, --Papit

I don't have a pulse oximeter so can't say from experience. Here's a link to some information from the online Users Guide section of the Sleepyhead site that may provide some assistance.

ResScan is also free and available via email from here.

I stand corrected as to the cost of ResScan. :apology2:

I do not use ResScan for one reason that can not be disputed. I have a Mac!!!! You can not use the ResScan on a Mac without using a Windows partition which I am not going to do.

Stanjam Wrote:SleepyHead is free, and I believe Open Source. Resmed isn't. That means if you wanted to, or needed to, you are allowed to make changes to SH. You are also not bound to lots of license restrictions as to where you can install, on how many machines, etc.

SH works in Linux!! Pretty sure Resmed has no Linux version, but I have not looked yet. That is a huge bonus to me, as I went Windoss free some years ago. I will let others spend hundreds or thousands of dollars for software and Operating Systems I get legally for free!

Machines that score apnea events need an airflow sensor and a pressure sensor. Machines that don't score apnea events only need a pressure sensor. It appears that Respironics makes one hardware platform for non-data and another for data machines.

I suspect that marketing has more to do with the differences than technology, though.
