[CPAP] Airsense 10 Motor
#1
Airsense 10 Motor
I am an American living in Japan. I brought my Airsense 10 with me from the US. It has 11,042 hours on it, and the motor is finally starting to get wheezy. Resmed machines are not available in Japan. I think Philips and another brand or two are, but health insurance here requires ALL CPAP users to pay about $50 a month to rent a machine. You cannot buy your own.

Would love to replace the motor myself and eventually buy a new machine, but neither option seems possible. I can have one sent to a relative in the US and shipped here, but that seems out of the question. Any suggestions?

Supplier #27 is a U.S. based repair facility that might be worth a call. It's certainly not feasible to ship your machine to them, but maybe you can get them to ship a part to you in Japan. I don't know, but call or email and see what happens. The part was $175 two years ago. http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...#pid340572

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried both suppliers #27 and #28, but no luck. I'm guessing they are busy enough with normal requests that they'd rather not take the time or the risk of helping someone off the grid. It makes good business sense.
