I agree with how limited the app is, heck if you enable the information breakdown on the machine the machines screen shows more information then that app does since it breaks down the even types. BUT with that said using just the screen in the morning when you wake up there is no way to view any information than just your most recent, so while the app is a glorified cheerleader and has very little information if the person wants to say see how their data is trending up and down then it at least serves that basic function of being able to see trends without having to make your own personal excel data sheet to keep track.
