Justbreath, to get a more legible chart turn off the calendar view. To get SleepyHead to show the drop-down menus etc, press <F11> which will toggle it in and out of full-screen view.

Would those settings you suggest be on auto asv or just asv? Thanks

auto, you have 4 setting. This will give a max pressure of 20 that the machine can go to. See if this helps with gas.
min epap 6
max epap 10
min ps 3
max ps 10

You will know more when you get some hours on the machine.

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure.

RE: Resmed aircurve 10 asv setup
So still having some problems with the gas but it has gotten better, i did lower the pressures quite a bit and was able to sleep a few hours each night. I ordered a neck collar off ebay about a month ago ,still waiting, ordered one off amazon today same day delivery, i purchased a 3 inch hopefully that will help, i will try that and some new recommendations tonight if you guys have some, these are my results, seems like its all unclassified the am apneas. im thinking i just need to raise pressure up more to clear the obstructs but not sure, should i try nasal pillows for the gas relief? Needless to say i do feel a slept better the last couple nights even with a crappy score..thanks guys

The gas you're referring to is from swallowing air? Sorry if I'd missed the info on an earlier post, but if that's the case, I had some as well when I started ASV therapy. I did not adjust settings, but I must have gotten used to the pressures, and in my experience, the issue faded over time. I didn't change masks either, so no other comment from me on that one.

When you've got info on the collar results, post it please. I am interested to hear it. Thanks.

2nd what Dave said about gas.
I think on two paths with the ASV, because I think they can be seen separately.
The OA and H are first treated with EPAP and min PS
The CA and PB are treated with PS

I would lift the min epap to 7, your median number. See if that sorts some UA out and then look at the results. It shouldn't increase the gas much.
When you have the UA tamed, you can start looking at the rest of the treatment.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. It's better for you to understand everything and be able to self manage long term.
No the machine is set at max EPAP 15 and has the top end covered. I try to work from the bottom EPAP number, to clear most of the obstructive events first. Moving to 7 epap, your median number, is a similar procedure as bpap or raising min pressure on apap for obstructive stuff. The variable PS comes into it aslo, as far as results. That's too hard to guess. The future charts will show stuff. I have a general view that the least you constrict the algorithm the better. So it's a matter of getting the best you can for now, till the gas settles. Then loosening the max PS

My mistake I guess I confused you, you had told me to lower max epap to 10 which I did, same gas problem tho ,so I lowered max epap to 7 and hence did get some hours on the machine without stomach pains. I am learning as fast as possible, I do understand the epap plus ps equals iPap . I'm slowly picking up and understanding what you guys are saying. Although much of it is still very confusing. I have learned a lot just from reading on the board. Thanks for dumbing it down.

sorry my mistake, I forgot we brought the epap 15 back to epap 10...epap 10 is also fine and out of the way, if your epap 95% was 10 , max epap was 10 and machine max epap was 10 then that setting would be choking the machine.
