Resmed s9 help
Hello,
I found the instructions on how to get in to the clinician set up, but now need a decoder to figure out what everything means.

Like:

Hi "G&quot,
How do you have EPR set now? Some like it and others don't. It's a comfort feature and some people use it when they are first begining CPAP treatment. I use it but I'm not sure where it's set on my machine & I do ok with it.
Hang in there for more suggestions & WELCOME.!

EPR lowers the pressure when you exhale. Your pressure is so low you probably don't need it, but I would just leave it where it is until you've collected enough data on yourself to establish a baseline.

Do you have your leak rate under control? What's your AHI?

Those are the important questions.

EPR in your case is probably not necessary.

The EPR numbers (1 - 3) correspond to how far it will drop on exhale. But the machine will not go lower than 4. So if the machine is pushing 5 and you have it set to EPR 3, it will only drop to 4 on exhale since it cannot drop to 2.

Like Sleepster said, leave it on for a while until you collect enough data and experience.
