Rice95 Therapy
RE: Rice95 Therapy
Yes, that's the best one, but just realize that the positional apnea will still be a problem even with a ResMed.

I assume you're just discouraged with the Respironics recall.... either way, a good move.

Check first if your DME is willing to exchange your DS for a ResMed. If not, check and compare prices on the supplier list above. Many of them are running specials now.

Edit: I can't remember if you bought the DS outright or went through your DME.

The AutoSet is the best auto CPAP out there.

RE: Rice95 Therapy
I just purchased an Airsense 10 Autoset brand new!

Can I use my Dreamwear headgear with this?

I am going to need someone to tell me the settings I should program that are identical or as close as possible to the PR.

This is all brand new to me and I'm a little stressed.

Dreamwear, the mask, yep it should hook right up the the ResMed hose. Hose and for mask is more or less universal.

Settings? What's all your current ones?

Choose the Auto (standard) mode.
You can try 7 min and 10 max, with EPR set to 2.  This should be comfortable.  We'll take a look after a night or two and make adjustments if needed.

I want to keep the max at 10 due to the aerophagia.

RE: Rice95 Therapy
Ok great. I don’t want to spend anymore than I have too. I have a heated PR hose but that won’t work on the ResMed right?

Are you referring to a 7 min ramp to 10 pressure? Not sure if Res  had a ramp feature ..I just can’t start with 10 blowing right away

RE: Rice95 Therapy
No, I didn't take ramp into consideration because a Min of 7cm is low to start with.  Try it and see. You will be starting with a Min. of 7 and letting the machine do it's thing if needed up to 10cm. It may not go that high.

Try setting this up and sit and read or watch TV while using it at these settings for an hour before bed, just to get used to it.

You will need to order a Clinicians manual.
https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p...tup-manual

In the meantime,
Press the round knob and the Home button at the same time for approximately 5 sec.
Turn knob to highlight settings, and press knob.

Start with Mode and make selection (auto). Continue down and make settings for type of mask, response (standard),
Ramp (off), EPR on, full time, set to 2.
Set humidity as needed.
Set Essestials to Plus.
Smart start to On.

Continue down to set language, date, time, etc.

Thank you OpalRose
I get it now. It’s auto from 7-10 unlike the PR which isn’t auto adjusting at all
