Somewhere between $30.00 - $95.00 USD on Alibaba, it depends on the quantity.

My man.....you just blew the lid off the internet for me today. I have been trying to source this motor for months. You just made me so happy to not have to buy another machine, which I was on the verge of doing.

Thanks

From what I understand, these machines are designed to last five years. How old is your machine? Time for a new one?

These machines can last for 10yrs plus, 1st to go is usually the Blower Motor, then unless you have an Electronics failure, (very rare) the unit will keep going. The story is to keep the dust out, a good trick is to use 2 Hypoallergenic Filters, 1 on top of the other & replace them monthly plus if all else fails have a spare complete unit.

Replacement Blower Motors Life Expectancy quoted @ 10000 hrs
10000 hours / 4 hours per night minimum = 2500 days.
2500 days = 6.8 years

"Motor Life Exceeded" message on the S9 displays after about 24000 hrs

"Motor Life Exceeded" message on the AS10 displays after about 22000 hrs

Apparently I cannot post replies that contain a link until I have posted to this forum 4 or more times.  Since I have only been a member since May 2013 at my current rate of posts I won't be able to post a link until 2049.

This being the case the blower motor for an S9 or S10 are the same and is available from aliexpress.com for $93.52 plus $5.83 shipping and whatever sales tax your state charges.

The S9 is very easy to disassemble and takes maybe 15 min at most to replace.  Search youtube for Resmed S9 replacement and view the video provided by Nick from Australia.

I have a replacement motor coming because for the past two years I have been getting the message "Expected motor life exceeded".  I think the message started appearing at around 20,000 hrs.  Current hour reading is 23,694.

There is an authorized Resmed repair shop in FLorida that will replace the blower motor for $275, but personally I prefer to save $175 and do it myself.

But if you are not mechanically inclined there website is cpap-repair.com

DME's have a program to reset the blower hours to zero and I was searching the forum to find someone who might have access to the program after I replace my blower motor.

RE: S9 Blower Motor
How did it go?

Were you able to reset the Hours, or did they reset automatically once the new Blower Motor was fitted?

I gather the ResMed units have a chip on the Blower Motor that stores the hours, so I think the hours move with the Blower Motor.

Such as, for example, if fitting a used Blower Motor with 4,000 hours into another ResMed S10 with, say, 6,000 hours then, once fitted, in theory, the hours would then change from 6,000 to 4,000.

If that is how it works, then fitting a new Blower Motor with zero hours, should change the ResMed S10's hours back to zero.

No idea if anyone has done this yet.
