S9 humidifier not woking
The heated tube connecting to the humidifier on my Resmed S9 quits out almost immediately. (I've used several heated tubes.) Any ideas? Could it be a software problem?

If it's an add-on, along with the humidifier, your power supply may be the lower wattage one. I believe S9/H5i requires the 90 watt version.

It has worked for a long while and stopped a few days ago. I have been using Manual in controlling the temp and humidity. I'll switch to auto tonight. and see if that helps.

The heating tube remains cool to the touch and my nose feels cold.

And this is a change from previous experience??

If it is truly not working it sounds to me like a power brick problem.

Does the icon change on the machine and indicate the hose is attached?

If it does, then there's two things that can be going on since this has been with multiple hoses and not just one.

The first thing is that your room is of the appropriate temp and humidity so the hose thinks it does not need turn on. There's a sensor that tests the humidity in the air. Is the water going away during the night? As in is the water being used?

The second thing is the power block is not enough for it so the machine doesn't use it.

Thanks for your thoughts! The humidifier is working, the water level goes down appreciably during the night. My problem is that the heated transfer tube does not remain on and that my nose gets cooled awakening me about 4 to 5 AM. I've used this setup for many years and this is something new.

I doubt it. However, I am getting a new heated tube and water chamber tomorrow by mail.
