SD Card Faulty?

SD Card Faulty?
I'm concerned that the daily data for recent sessions is missing. For example, Last night's session was 8.5 hours, but only 2.29 hours of the daily data is available, according to SleepyHead. The previous night shows no daily data at all, even though the machine says 8.5 hours and the overview concurs. The night before that, the full session is shown (again about 8.5 hours) but only the first part of the night's data is shown.

I've been a bit concerned because at least twice in the past couple of months, the machine has told me the card is corrupted and the only thing I could do (per the machine) was to "erase" it. And now that I have the capability of looking at the data myself, I see that about 2-3 months of the daily+overview data is gone entirely. But data from both before and after that period still seems to be there, at least the overview data (not the daily data).

So: is this due to a flaky machine, or a flaky card or something I'm doing wrong? Should I request a replacement card from Apria, or does that open a can of worms? Like require a visit to a sleep specialist and/or a new sleep study?

I've had this machine for nearly 4 years; is it time to consider getting a new one? My doctor originally suggested it would last 5 years at least, but I've moved away from him and don't have a local sleep specialist yet, so I am not able to consult about it easily.

Good practice to lock the SD card before inserting into card reader or laptop slot and unlock before inserting into the machine

Erasing the SD card, only erase detailed data as detailed data written directly on the card, not stored in machine memory
The machine write therapy and compliance data up to 365 days on the card, whenever the card inserted into the machine

Do you happen to sleep after 12 noon? 12 noon is a start a new CPAP day

Thank you. The episodes with the CPAP machine requiring me to erase the data occurred well before I had any idea I had a way to read the data myself. And I always lock the card before plugging it into my computer.

Except for 2 weeks in Australia, I don't normally sleep past 12 noon. My machine is set for Pacific Time and I now live in Mountain Time, so all data is off by an hour during DST, and by two hours during ST, but I still do not span noon unless I'm on the other side of the world.

No: it really looks like data is missing/not recorded. I found other threads about this and I suspect I'll have to request a new card from Apria or ResMed.

Hi. I have just had the exact problem. S9 telling me to erase the card. I did this 3 times then went to the supplier with it. She said it was corrupt as I have been turning my machine off at the wall every day. When she did the down load with her soft ware only portions of it were recorded the same as yours.I have a new card and will now wait a few weeks then get it looked at again as she said it could be a software issue with the machine itself. My machine has done coming up to 7000hours so who knows. I don't want my own software as what I get from the machine is good for me and I can always get a down load if I want one.

They are getting a payment plan that will allow you to pay off the machine over a year at no interest so might be interested in that when it happens and get the air10.

You can buy new SD cards most anywhere.
Hang in there for more suggestions, good luck to you.

Don't do that unles you can get them to supply it for free. Otherwise it's a waste of money to pay Resmed's inflated price. Any ordinary 2gb SD card (like you'd find in a camera) can be used. Just get one from your local camera or electronics shop for a few dollars.

Bought a new card. 8 GB, but it seems to work fine. That's the smallest one I could find at Walgreens Smile

Anyway, problem solved, I think.

Thanks to all for the advice.
