Sealing Problem
#11
RE: Sealing Problem
Larry, you asked for response from men with a beard....sorry, can’t help there. Smile

But I want to comment on giving the P10 a fair chance.  The machines mask fit test is ok to use when initially fitting and getting ready for bed, but you have to realize that the fit test has nothing to do with what goes on the rest of the night.

You move from side to side, mabye lay on your back and some even try to sleep on their stomach.  All these movements may cause your mask to move.  Also when you are sleeping, your facial muscles may relax and thus causing the mask to shift.

When I first started out, I was sure I’d need a full face mask due to congestion, but soon found out that the P10 mask can open up clogged nasal passages faster than I expected.

As others have stated, it takes a few minutes to adjust because when you first put it on, you tend to feel like you can’t get enough air.  But if you just relax and breath in and out normally, in no time you don’t even realize you are wearing a mask.

This mask won’t move if you are wearing the right size pillow.  Wear a size larger than you think you need.  It should not go far into the nose, but just sit at the base of nostrils.  When you start the mask fit check, wiggle the mask a little and let it seal against your nose.

I have followed your other thread and have seen your high leak rate.  This needs corrected.
