Shop recommendation to purchase CPAP
What is your recommended net shop to purchase the AirSense 10 AutoSet from Resmed ? I value low price, speedy delivery and newest unused model directly form the production line :-)

I have been diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea, and the recommended treatment is CPAP. Unfortunately, I believe, that the device I am about to receive at my next visit to the hospital-clinic is a Philips Dreamstation...

After having studied the net and especially this forum, I have come to the conclusion that the device I will feel most comfortable with is the AirSense 10 AutoSet from Resmed. This also (and primarily) because it allegedly provides faster change of pressure responses to change in breathing.

So most likely, I will accept the Philips device and then I will purchase myself the Resmed device. And then of course receive treatment and monitoring from my clinic.

Thanks in advance.

Since you require overseas shipping, the best price and support may be Supplier #2. Note the forum rules do not allow posting links to suppliers, but names, or referral to the supplier list are fine. Many members around the world have used SecondwindCPAP (aka CPAPliqudators) to buy new and used equipment at a good price and with warranty support.

RE: Shop recommendation to purchase CPAP
I'd never risk getting such an important equipment overseas unless I were to buy it personally. Supplier 24. is based in germany, it's where i get everything. The ship to Denmark.

Theres also a new shop from Bulgaria. (Cpapstore.) Commercial Link removed.
Prices seem 100-200EUR lower but If I were you I'd buy it in Denmark, for Warranty issues.

RE: Shop recommendation to purchase CPAP
Welcome to the forum.

The suppliers ln the forum’s supplier’s list are companies who have a history of reliablity when dealing with forum members. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them if needed and in fact have.

As far as the warranty, it is my understanding that most companies on the list do provide warranty support. Asking that question in an email to document the answer is probably a good idea no matter who you choose to use. It is also my understanding that, in the United States at least, your machine will probably have to be returned to the factory anyway for most warranty work, which is why some of us have backup machines.

Like Hydragea, I bought my backup machine on Amazon. Online suppliers have started cracking down on the sales of cpap machines due to the designation in the U.S. as prescription equipment so finding a good deal is getting harder.

Don’t sell the DreamStation short. It is a very capable machine that treats sleep apnea very well when properly setup. I started out on a DreamStation Pro and was satisfied with the quality of treatment it provides. I bought the AirSense 10 AutoSet as a backup machine and I wanted the machine to be an auto. If my DreamStation had been an auto, it may have still been my primary machine instead of a backup.

RE: Shop recommendation to purchase CPAP
Thank you all for the welcome and for good comments and answers to my question.

I think I will initially test and "play around" with the machine I get, also to see what my needs and preferences are in terms of humidity, heated tubes etc. I see that there are many shops available, so that part doesn't seem to be a problem. It appears that Resmed runs a danish subsidiary and they also have a web shop, where they sell both their machines and accessories. Here they charge $998 (plus 25% danish VAT) for the basic AirSense 10 AutoSet machine incl. humidifier. So it does seem, that there is a bit to save by shopping around.

A bit further down the line, I will therefore decide whether it is worth saving the few bucks or whether I should just use the officiel danish channels.

Right now I have been suffering with a headache for the last couple of days. I wonder whether this is caused by low oxygen saturation at night or because of the cold I am having right now. To night I will try to use the pulse oximeter I have purchased to see where I am.

Thank you all :-)
