[CPAP] Aerophagia help please
#1
Aerophagia help please
I started on CPAP after sleep study found moderate sleep apnea. I never had the "ah ha" moment where I felt supremely rested. Lately I have been having a bit of aerophagia (bloating, gas, etc). I spoke to my doctor and they wanted to put me on Bipap instead. I feel like this is a little bit rushed and want to see if there is anything I can try before I switch as BiPAP machines are pretty hard to find right now. Please see below for me data from Oscar. We made some pressure changes, and I changed from a ResMed F20 full face mask to a F30 due to leak issues. The aerophagia only started around the 20th of July.

Thank you!

RE: Aerophagia help please
Hmmm - aerophagia is commonly associated with higher pressures AFAIK, but yours aren't super high. May I recommend going to the Apnea Board wiki (see black bar at the top of the page) and search aerophagia and read the article there.

Also, please know that "aha moments" when the heavens open and the angels sing -- are pretty rare. For most of us, it is gradual improvement over a period of time. Patience and perseverance are key.
