I love both kinds of music, country and western. seriously, i like the older country singers, patsy montana, tex ritter, ernest tubb, jimmie rodgers, carter family, etc. i also like the music of the old blues singers than brought all of our modern music out of the mississippi river delta in mississippi like robert johnson, leadbelly, etc.

With skirts that short, and some of those poses, they could be playing pots and kettles and no one would notice.

Just sayin'.

While I like their "music", I don't like that a lot of times their instruments are not heard over the imported music (drums, etc). And there's a few places where it is almost like they are, what's the instrumental version of lip syncing? But I also think I would like them better in recordings vs watching them. I'm like that with Aerosmith. That's man is weird.

You caught on to what mt favorite music is. Anything played or sang by half naked beautiful women. Talent is way overrated. By the way the guitar solo on Kashmir was played by Slash from GNR.

I beg to differ. We judge almost everything by its cover. If we didn't, there would be no need to spend so much effort and money in packaging. Packaging is a very important part of Marketing. And we all know what sells.

I actually love Keith Jarrett classical jazz. (Piano) Concert in Koln and also Lausanne, Switzerland. You can Google his name and sample his music. He is improvisational and it is amazing how it transitions. Speaks to my soul. Anyone heard of him?

Yes! Haven't listened to him in ages. Dear x-hubby took albums when we divorced. Thanks for the reminder. Think I will go download a few of his selections.

RE: Simply The Best.......
I found this young man on YouTube that is just fantastic. He plays a vast array of instruments and is totally into playing with friends who are also very talented. One project he did was to have each of his friends all in different parts of the country record their part of a song, then he brought all 4 or 5 parts back and used some video/audio mixing software to blend it like they were all on stage together! This guy just amazes me! His name is Josh Turner, but not the really famous Josh Turner. He bills himself as the Other Josh Turner! Smile If you search for him you could type in YouTube and his number which is 200000028 and it will link ya right up! Oh, it is kind of country type music, banjos, guitars, stuff like that.

As always, YMMV! You do not have to agree or disagree, I am not a professional so my mental meanderings are simply recollections of things from my own life.
