RE: Skin Tags
Skin tags are a sign of impaired glucose tolerance (diabetes). I had them but as soon as my diabetes was under control (a1c under 6), they went away on their own.

Even genetic skin tags (my grandmother had them) can be controlled with controlling your insulin.

So if you have them, get tested for diabetes.

Liz,

Apparently you did not read my profile comments. Oh-jeez I've had the tags since I was in high school; I didn't acquire type 2 diabetes until I was 55 years old. My dad had them most of his life and he was never diagnosed as diabetic.

I also had skin tags in high school, was in my 40's when I developed diabetes. But I was apparently insulin resistant due to metabolic syndrome from the time I turned 12. I do not have them now because I keep my a1c below a 6 and my blood sugars under control.
