Sleep Breathing vs. Awake Breathing
I was just wondering if there is a way on the Flow Rate chart to tell the difference between whether you are sleeping or awake according to your breaths? There are times at night when I think I am awake but my wife says I was sleeping. Just curious.

RE: Sleep Breathing vs. Awake Breathing
For my purposes, I found that my awake breath pattern is choppier and my sleep pattern is more regular -- exclusive of any arousals. A definitive answer is available, but it requires an EEG. Considering that some dream activity appears to be interactive, you may be in REM sleep.

RE: Sleep Breathing vs. Awake Breathing
Click on the flow chart where you were asleep and use the up arrow to zoom in on your breathing. Do the same on an awake section and you should see a difference.
