SleepHead issues

SleepHead issues
Hi
All the very best for the New Year.
Still a relative newbie here. Many thanks for all the great info.
Have been using SleepyHead daily for past two months.
Today I opened it and the Welcome to SleepyHead opened up instead of my usual file.
It appears that all my data stored on SleepyHead has gone.
NOTE: my data is on my SD Card, but, when using SleepyHead on a daily basis, I added numerous Notes.
I have found the Backup files and re-installed, but the Notes were missing.
Question: is there a way of retrieving the Notes?
Any clues would be most appreciated.
Cheers JD

RE: SleepHead issues
JD007,
What OS are you using? The reason I ask is because I'm getting reports from various people using Win 10, that certain files are either missing or 0 bytes in size.

RE: SleepHead issues
Hi Crimson Nape
I am using Mac OS X El Capitan V 10.11.6
SH has been OK up to today. When I opened it this morning, all User Profiles and, data and notes were gone. Data is not the problem as I have it on the SD cards. But, I would like to restore the Notes I made on a daily basis.
The Notes are helpful to keep track of things.
I restored from the Hard Drive BackUp and also tried from the SD card. In both cases the Notes were missing.

Thanks JD,
That rules out my primary suspicion.

Any chance you are logged in as a different user? The data is stored in ~/Documents/SleepyHeadData where ~/ is the users home directory. The notes are (well, were), in ~/Documents/SleepyHeadData/<Your Profile Name>Journal.xml. Have you checked the recycle bin?

RE: SleepHead issues
Hi Chill
Not in the Trash.
As I said opened SH this morning and got the Welcome to SH screen.
The Profiles I had were gone.
I have found the Journal.xml will see if I can load them up.
Cheers and thanks

Hi Chill
Could not get the Journal to load back to SH.
SH then kept crashing.
Back to square 1.
Cheers

This is a shot in the dark but try rebuilding your CPAP data. I've had some days just disappear until I rebuilt the data.

Hi Crimson Nape
Have also tried the CPAP Rebuild.
Data is all there BUT, no Notes.

Did you use the exact same name when you re-created the profile? The third line in the profile has a username that needs to match.

There should be a crash log in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/. If you want to send it to me by PM (email), I can take a look. I may be able to see something.
