Sleeping on side with nasal pillows

RE: Sleeping on side with nasal pillows
I too am using the SwiftFX. Personally I route my hose over the back of the headboard so it comes down to my mask from overhead. I find that this lets me sleep on both sides as well as on my back. As others mentioned, my trick for not getting leaks with the nasal pillows while laying on my side is to move to the edge of the pillow so that the mask hangs off the end. This only works if the hose is coming from above because otherwise the weight of the hose pulls on the pillows and breaks the seal.

I've thought about getting a CPAP pillow, but I like to have my arm under the pillow and I think that might hinder the pillows purpose.

RE: Sleeping on side with nasal pillows
Thank you all for valuable advice. I am getting the hang of it. I now realise that I have to learn how to sleep all over again. I also developed a few aching back and chest muscles, possibly related to the new sleeping positions? Is this a typical experience?

Makes sense to me. |
