SleepyHead bug or SD card problems?
#1
Question
SleepyHead bug or SD card problems?
Hi Everyone,

I am new in this forum and I don´t want to be inconvenient or reopen a post that could be probably solved.

Everytime I use Sleepyhead in my computer , I lock the SD card to prevent failure.
I have installed SHead and used it for a month with a Resmed S9. Then I bought recently a Respironics A-Flex.
After my first reading, everything was fine.
Now everytime that I use SHead to read my card, SH crashes.
Oh-jeez

I have kept all the information with both equipments in order to have a good treatment history, but now this tracking was lost.
I reinstalled SHead but the problem remains.
I have created new profiles (just using my A-Flex equipment) but I have the same problem.

I download Encore Basics and the software can read perfectly.
I am very happy with Encore Basics. but I consider SHead and excelent software, with a lot of details.
And SHead has better graphics and reports.

Is that really a bug when you use distinct systems?

Changing a little the subject:
What is the best way to prepare the SD card to use with these equipments (Encore can erase and prepare the SD card but for Philips equipments, not Resmed)?

Could anyone help me to solve this? Or to point me to the correct Thread.

Thank you in advance
Thanks

Sleep-well

Hi Joselito Cabral - Welcome

If you are using Windows, what version?

Formatting the SD card; Format to a FAT16 or 32 in your PC then place it your CPAP so it may write any required files and directories to it.

Hi Crimson Nape,

Thank you for the tip. Easy! Thanks

I am using Windows 7. I can use Windows to do it or SD card formatter.

Okay

The only problem I could imagine on SleepyHead could be causes by the QT library.
But appeared after importing Respironics files.

Cheers,

Joselito

have you tried copying the whole card to your hard-drive (local drive ... c: or whatever) safely remove the SD-card and let SH import from the hard-drive (you would need to specify the folder where you put it in! - if you copied the whole sd-crad into c:\users\you\desktop\sddata that folder would be the one you want to specify - not any subdirectory from your sd-card!)

Joselito Cabral,

Are you trying to use the same SD card for both machines? That will not work. You need separate cards for separate machines.

Hi TBMx,
I followed your tips. Didn´t work. At 98% SHead crashed.
I have tried even with a new profile, using a folder.
Again, Shead crashed.
Fine. Let´s use Encore basics.

Windows sometimes has a bad effect in some softwares after updates.
I really don´t know why.

Thank you robysue.
I know that. The first one (Resmed) it was a rental for testing and to have a good measurement history. Maybe to show my doctor that I hate the experience of being measured on a clinic Cant-sleep-well . But it was a good record to keep.

I didn´t know that bug. I hope Shead works fine with windows 10.

Try reinstalling the 32 bit version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files.
